Fantastic Beasts posters reveal Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows connection
Nine new posters for upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ have been released, focusing on the cast of new characters.
One of the posters also reveals an intriguing link to the original series of stories, and in particular the Deathly Hallows.
- Seven magnificent 21st century westerns
- Five stone cold classic corpse comedies
- Nicolas Cage hunts Bin Laden in Army of One trailer
In the poster pictured above starring Colin Farrell’s Percival Graves, the Deathly Hallows symbol can be seen hanging from a damaged building.
Other posters, originally shared by Entertainment Weekly, reveal more potential plot details from the film.
In those starring Ezra Miller’s Credence and Ron Pearlman’s Gnarlack, there are Wanted posters hanging up featuring Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander and Dan Fogler’s Jacob Kowalski.
Credence’s poster also reveals him to be a “Second Salemer” - indicating he and Samantha Morton’s Mary Lou (who is also one) want to purge the world of witchcraft.
Propaganda for their cause also appears in the Graves poster.
In the poster for Carmen Ejogo’s Seraphina Picquery there’s a message noting the danger the magic world is of being exposed to the human/muggle one.
It’s the appearance of the Deathly Hallows symbol that will most intrigue Potter fans though. The Hallows are three powerful magical artifacts, and if one person were to possess them all it said they’ll become a Master of Death.
In JK Rowling’s books, the Deathly Hallows are the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility.
The remaining posters star Katherine Waterston and Alison Sudol as Porpentina and Queenie Goldstein. You can see all the posters below.
'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ will be released on 18 November.
