New Fast and Furious 7 picture shows Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson at work

Vin Diesel releases yet another on set picture, this time featuring The Rock

Vin Diesel has been back on Facebook again to promote his upcoming film 'Fast and Furious 7', this time with himself and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the frame. After releasing many recent photos from behind the scenes of the film via his Facebook page, Diesel's most recent image confirms Dwayne Johnson has begun filming his scenes on the upcoming sequel. Johnson for his part had already posted a photo showing that he had finished filming on 'Hercules' and was moving back on to more familiar territory, rejoining the cast for his third entry in the franchise.

Other recent pictures have included Diesel sneaking around with a gun, Kurt Russell on set with franchise stars Diesel and Paul Walker and the first picture of Diesel and newcomer Jason Statham together at last. Dwayne Johnson is reprising his role as Agent Hobbs who first appeared in 'Fast Five' as an antagonist for Toretto and the gang before he switched sides and used their motor skills for good in 'Fast and Furious 6'.

Vin Diesel speaks

It seems that barely a day goes by now without Diesel or Tony Jaa or one of the other stars of 'Fast and Furious 7' posting something online for eager fans to lap up until we get a trailer or poster or finally the finished film in July 2014. Diesel posted the new picture stating simply 'When brother Dwayne steps into the Hobbs role... you can't tell where he ends, or the character begins. Our third consecutive chapter in the saga, and the short hand we've established makes the film that much better each time.' Diesel clearly has some affection for his co-star after welcoming him in to the 'Fast and Furious' family and it will be interesting to see if this will be the last chance to see Agent Hobbs in action.

Hospital

With death definitely on the cards in newcomer director James Wan's 'Fast and Furious 7' judging by all the stills of funerals that have been released, it is interesting to note the location of this latest image from the set. That is clearly a hospital that Diesel and Johnson are in and it looks as though Agent Hobbs might be taking some time out to recover from something. Whatever has managed to lay The Rock low must be pretty severe. Here's hoping Hobbs is not suffering from any permanent damage that will keep him from appearing in further entries into the franchise.

Diesel power

This is the second photo of Diesel looking like he is calling the shots on 'Fast and Furious 7'. Script in hand and dominating the picture, Diesel has risen to producer on recent entries in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise and clearly takes his job very seriously. After the recent snap of him and Statham looking over the script was released, Diesel looks as though he is as much a part of the creative process as his director. Let's hope he knows what he's doing.

Excited for more Agent Hobbs in 'Fast and Furious 7'? Do you think Dwayne Johnson will be back for more after this one?

Pete is a cautious fan of the Fast and Furious films; enjoying the fast cars and furious fights but not so keen on the cheesy dialogue. However he's not going to be telling Vin Diesel that last bit any time in a hurry…
