Vin Diesel has unveiled the dates for the forthcoming ‘Fast & Furious’ sequels.

The next three movies will take the mammoth motoring series up to 10 films in all, with the previously announced 'Fast & Furious 8’ due for April 14, 2017.

New movies 'Fast & Furious 9’ will follow on April 19, 2019, and then 'Fast & Furious 10’ will pull up on April 2, 2021.

Diesel took to his Instagram page to make the announcement in customarily bombastic style.

F. Gary Gray, helmsman of 'Straight Outta Compton’, will be directing the eighth movie, with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Brit action star Jason Statham both expected to return.

The last movie – and the last to star the late Paul Walker – was a smash hit for Universal Studios.

It coined in a eye-popping $1.516 billion worldwide, so just over £1 billion, making it by far the most successful movie in the series.

In all, the 'F&F’ movies have made a nearly $4 billion (£2.7 billion) for the studio.
