Throughout his career, the actor has starred in numerous horror works, from Candyman to Scream: The TV Series.
In three of the seven Final Destination movies, he played William Bludworth, a mysterious coroner who would often warn the young protagonists about the dangers of messing with Death's plan. In another one of its outings, he even voiced Death itself, which is in keeping with fan theories that Bludworth is actually the Grim Reaper.
In a new interview with Movieweb, Todd was asked if he'd be want to reprise the character of Bludworth, and while he confessed that there's been no "official talks" yet, he revealed that he and series creator-turned-follow-up producer Jeffrey Reddick are keen on the idea.
"Jeffrey Reddick [is a] dear friend of mine, who created the original story," he said. "I have a long history. Originally, it was pitched as an episode of The X-Files, and I'm associated with X-Files.
"That's when I first became aware of it. Then two years after that, he finally got the green light and I was brought in. So yeah, if it was up to me and Jeffrey, I'd be the person.
"But we don't know yet. I know they've had several attempts at scripts."
He added: "They're still trying to figure out the right puzzle, if that's the right term for Final Destination. If they can figure out a way to have falling logs off a spaceship, I think we'll be alright."
