First Big Brother 2024 contestant evicted
Ryan Bradshaw has been evicted from 'Big Brother'.
The 28-year-old marketing expert from Blackpool had been taking part in the ITV2 reality show but became the first housemate to be evicted since the new series kicked off earlier this month.
Speaking to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best immediately after exiting the house on Friday (11.10.24) night, he said: "I am gutted to be fair. But someone's gotta go first time, so it's one of them."
Ryan had been nominated for eviction against barber Dean Smith, pork salesman Nathan King, and dental assistant Rosie Williams, who changed her name to Baked Potato as part of an early challenge in the series and has been billed as such ever since.
In the first episode, Ryan was part of the blue team, who were assigned a place within the walls of the 'Big Brother' house itself, whilst those on the red team had to make do with accommodation in a store room.
But after losing a challenge against Martha Church, the two of them swapped places and Ryan found himself living in the storeroom alongside the rest of the red team. "I'm mesmerised to be fair. I'm obviously gutted to be out first, but it's one of them. Someone's gotta do it! I was buzzing [to be in the blue team] but I said that store room looked all right, so be careful what you wish for!
"It was hell in there! It was bad. I slept on like a little camp bed."
After losing a further challenge, Ryan found himself up for and admitted that the only "saving grace" was that he hadn't been nominated by any of his co-stars.#
He said: "I was gutted to be fair, it was a horrible feeling. The only saving grace was that it wasn't the housemates that put me up, it was just bad decision after bad decision."
Ryan didn't get the chance to do any nominations because of the way things panned out, but admitted that had he been given the chance he would have nominated forensic psychologist Ali Bromley - whom he hasn't really spoken to - and the slightly "irritating" amputee footballer Thomas Atkinson for eviction.
