Watch: Godzilla Vs. Kong trailer
The ultimate prehistoric monster clash is now upon us, with the first full trailer for Godzilla Vs. Kong landing online.
The fourth movie in Legendary Pictures' “monsterverse” follows 2019's multi-kaiju face-off Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
This time, King Kong, last seen in 2017's 70s-set Kong: Skull Island, will be up against the giant beast, with both seemingly bent on destruction.

Per the official synopsis:
“In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity's fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans' origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.”

Monarch is, of course, the secret government agency tasked with reigning in these ancient beasts, first introduced in Gareth Edwards’ franchise reboot Godzilla, from 2014.
This time, Death Note and The Guest director Adam Wingard is behind the camera, with Alexander Skarsgard as geologist Nathan Lind and Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown returning as Madison Russell.
Also on board are Rebecca Hall, Atlanta’s Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Ogori and Kyle Chandler.

As with all movies with a planned 2020 release – it was originally set to take a bow in November last year – Godzilla Vs. Kong has been significantly delayed.
It was announced that it was all set for May 2021, but it will now be released on 26 March, simultaneously in cinemas – should any be open – and on HBO Max in the US.
UK release plans are yet to be confirmed.
