Tying in with the 50th anniversary of JFK’s death, director Peter Landesman’s movie offers up the untold story of a well-trodden movie path (see Oliver Stone), finding Efron’s untested young doctor forced to operate on the critically wounded president.

The film also follows the backlash against the FBI’s failings and the family of apparent assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
