The intense new trailer for ‘Parkland’ has crashed online to the clang of future awards.
Starring Zac Efron and Billy Bob Thornton, ‘Parkland’ revolves around the chaotic events that unfolded at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
Ignore the few cheesy moments - this is prime cut Oscar bait. Check out the trailer above, exclusive to Yahoo! Movies.
Tying in with the 50th anniversary of JFK’s death, director Peter Landesman’s movie offers up the untold story of a well-trodden movie path (see Oliver Stone), finding Efron’s untested young doctor forced to operate on the critically wounded president.
The film also follows the backlash against the FBI’s failings and the family of apparent assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
Co-produced by Tom Hanks and co-starring Marcia Gay Harden, Jacki Weaver, Ron Livingston and Paul Giamatti, ‘Parkland’ is out in the UK on 8 November.
