First clip from Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (World Exclusive)

He’s never fired a rifle in anger, or at a cat…

Ready for your best “Ah Ha!”? The first look clip from ‘Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa’ is finally here.

In our world exclusive clip, Alan gets an awkward police briefing as he’s tasked with taking on a potentially deadly hostage situation at his beloved North Norfolk Digital.

Can Norfolk’s favourite son keep calm in the situation at hand?

“I’ve got very aggressive athlete’s foot,” he says. “But that’s the only thing about me that is…”

Lovely stuff. Give it a watch above.

Previously described by star Steve Coogan as “a bit like 'Dog Day Afternoon’ and a bit 'Network',” ‘Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa’ sees Coogan’s cult character land in the midst of a tense stand-off between police and disgruntled fellow North Norfolk Digital DJ, Pat Farrell (played by Colm Meaney). Alan’s solution? Chat his way out. Obviously.

Alan’s not forgetting his roots though. 'Alpha Papa' (which was almost called ‘Colossal Velocity’) will see the return of ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ series favourites including tireless PA Lynn (Felicity Montagu), rival DJ Dave Clifton (Phil Cornwell) and of course everyone’s favourite Geordie serviceman-turned-service station worker Michael, played by Simon Greenall.

And, after a recent Twitter campaign dubbed “Anglia Square Not Leicester Square”, the movie will now be premiered in Alan’s home city of Norwich. Back of the net!
