First look at Daniel Craig's hair transformation for Knives Out 3

Knives Out 3 has started filming ahead of its release on Netflix next year and Benoit Blanc is sporting a new look for the movie.

To mark the start of filming on Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, writer/director Rian Johnson shared a first-look image of Daniel Craig's return as the iconic detective.

In the image, we can see that Benoit has had a bit of a hair transformation since Glass Onion and now has longer hair to what we're used to.

"Aaaaand we're off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery 'Wake Up Dead Man' - see you on the other side," Johnson wrote.

We knew the eagerly-anticipated third Knives Out movie would start filming this month, following its official title reveal on May 24, 2024.

That was followed by a host of exciting cast announcements, starting with Josh O'Connor and Cailee Spaeny.

A new name or two followed every day afterwards with Daniel Craig being joined in the new movie by Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Josh Brolin and Thomas Haden Church.

We imagine that's it for the main cast for Knives Out 3, but there could always be surprises in store now that filming is officially underway.

Currently we don't know who any of the new cast members are playing or what the new case Benoit Blanc is solving involves. With the title announcement, it was teased that it was the detective's "most dangerous case yet".

Johnson also said that the title gives a "little hint" of what to expect, leading many to assume the new case would have something supernatural about it.

He added: "There's a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies."

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released on Netflix in 2025.
