First look at Gandalf and Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies

Oh heavens it's a picture!

We've seen pretty much everything we can from the early stages of The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies' rollout. We've seen a synopsis, we're going to see a teaser trailer and Middle-Earth is going to San Diego Comic-Con. But now we have a picture!

A glorious, glorious picture courtesy of Entertainment Weekly is giving us not only our first look at 'The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies' for quite a prolonged amount of time, but our first look at two of the more awesome characters to grace Middle-Earth in the wizard Gandalf and Bard the Bowman.

The picture shows a weary looking Gandalf stood next to Bard the Bowman, they're both starting into the distance in the same direction, obviously looking at the same thing. They both appear to be quite worried as well, and so they should be in the frantic people carrying weapons in the background are anything to go by.

Now I feel that this image must have been taken from during the actual Battle of Five Armies because Desolation of Smaug ended with Gandalf trapped at Dol Guldur and Bard the Bowman trapped in Lake-town. We know that Gandalf needs to escape from Dol Guldur and Bard needs to take on Smaug, so I can only guess their paths cross after both of those things have happened.

I imagine that once the Battle of Five Armies presentation at Comic-Con has come and gone that we'll have more awesome pictures to show you guys. But until that amazing moment you'll just have to look at this one over and over again.
