First look at Jack Whitehall and Jennifer Saunders in UK-set comedy
Jack Whitehall and Jennifer Saunders star in a first look at new UK-set comedy Night & Day.
Based on Virginia Woolf’s 1919 novel of the same name, the upcoming film is described as an "unromantic comedy" about a passionate astronomer who does everything she can to avoid romantic love and marriage, despite living in a era "when glass ceilings were made of concrete".
A first-look image of the film shows Whitehall and Saunders dressed in 20th century attire, alongside co-stars Haley Bennett and Timothy Spall.

Night & Day stars Bennett as Katharine Hilbery, whose "bold challenge to the Edwardian patriarchy is set against the backdrop of the suffragette movement and advances in science and technology, at the turn of the 20th century".
Other cast members include Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones's Diary), Misia Butler (Kaos), Alex Macqueen, Simon Phillips, Frances Barber, Elyas M’Barek and British singer Lily Allen.
Woolf's novel is being adapted for the screen by Justine Waddell, while Tina Gharavi is directing. Production is currently under way in Newcastle.

Whitehall will next be seen onscreen in Prime Video's upcoming psychological drama Malice, which arrives on the streaming service next year.
The Bad Education actor stars in the series as Adam Healey, a charming 'manny' who sets out to infiltrate the wealthy Tanner family in order to destroy them.
The official synopsis reads: "Set in London and Greece, Malice is full of dark family secrets, manipulation, and betrayal, asking the question: why does Adam despise Jamie Tanner so much?"
David Duchovny (The X Files) plays Tanner family patriarch Jamie, while Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones) plays his wife Nat. Harry Gilby, Teddie-Rose Malleson-Allen and Phoenix Laroche play their three children.
Night & Day does not yet have a release date. Malice arrives on Prime Video next year.
