Yahoo Movies First look at Mamma Mia and Star Trek: Discovery stars in new rom-com
An exciting new rom-com starring Lily James and Shazad Latif is in the works – and our first look at What's Love Got to Do With It? is here already.
Starring Mamma Mia! star Lily James and Star Trek: Discovery's Shazad Latif, What's Love Got to Do With It? bills itself as a "cross-cultural British rom-com".
Directed by Shekhar Kapur and written by Jemima Khan, the movie also stars the likes of Emma Thompson, Sajal Aly, Shabana Azmi, People Just Do Nothing's Asim Chaudhry, Mim Shaikh, Eternals' Jeff Mirza, Iman Boujelouah, Mariam Haque and Sindu Vee.
There are big names attached to the rom-com behind the scenes, too, with producer and I'm a Celebrity star Naughty Boy working on new, original material for the film.

Ahead of its scheduled release in 2022, What's Love Got to Do With It? has released its first look at Lily and Shazad as filmmaker Zoe and her childhood friend Kazim.
The official synopsis reads: "How do you find lasting love in today's world? For documentary filmmaker Zoe, swiping right to find Mr Right has only delivered bad dates and funny anecdotes, much to her opinionated mother Cath's dismay.
"For her childhood friend and neighbour Kazim, the answer is to follow his parents' example and opt for an assisted marriage with a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan.

"As Zoe films his hopeful journey from London to Lahore to marry a stranger, chosen by his parents, she begins to wonder if she might have something to learn from a different approach to finding love."
What's Love Got to Do With It? is set to be released in UK cinemas in 2022.
