First look at Martin Freeman's new UK-set movie as it starts filming
Sky has released a first-look image of Martin Freeman's Flavia as filming for it has begun.
The Sherlock, Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Hobbit actor has teamed up with Mr Bates vs the Post Office star (and fellow MCU-er) Toby Jones, as well as up-and-coming child actor Molly Belle Wright for the new project.
The film follows a precocious 11-year-old amateur detective who must use her wits and guile to discover the truth after a horrible tragedy.
If that sounds familiar, it's because this is an adaptation of a popular book by author Alan Bradley titled 'The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie: A Flavia de Luce Mystery' that spawned a series.

In the new image, the trio are in a cosy-looking library looking concerned at something going on off-camera, while Toby is rocking a typical detective inspector hat and coat combo.
The official synopsis gives us a bit more detail, stating: "When Flavia finds a dead body at her decaying British manor house and her father is accused of the murder, Flavia dives into her own wild and fearless investigation, unearthing long held family secrets and pitting herself against the true murderer."
Daisy Jones and the Six's Susan Coyne has adapted the script from Bradley's work, while Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day's Bharat Nalluri is in the director's chair.
Other cast members include Ted Lasso's Annette Badland, Pirates of the Caribbean's Jonathan Pryce, and Screw's Karan Gill, while filming will carry on through November.

George Hamilton, CCO of production company Protagonist, said in a press release: "We're beyond excited that filming has begun, and we are able to share an initial glimpse into Flavia's world.
"Molly is surrounded by such an amazing cast and under Bharat's skilled direction, the first of the Flavia de Luce mystery stories is bursting into life as a thoroughly entertaining film that will appeal to the whole family."
