It’s here – our first look at ‘The Defenders’ all together.

After appearing in their own Netflix shows, it looks as though ‘The Defenders’ have finally pulled themselves together and formed the team we’ve all been dying to see… and thanks to the folks at Entertainment Weekly, we’ve got our first look at the iconic superhero squad.

And yes, they look pretty badass.

“On a chilly December afternoon in a brightly lit Brooklyn set, the stars of Marvel and Netflix’s small-screen superhero universe — Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Finn Jones (Danny Rand, a.k.a. Iron Fist) — are finally filming their first scene as a group for their summer 2017 team-up, Marvel’s The Defenders.”

But what’s going on?

The setting? The offices of Midland Circle – the shady operation behind the Hell’s Kitchen Hole. And it looks as though each Defender has arrived separately, presumably for reasons of their own.

They’re not expecting each other. Each has their own vendetta.

But before they can get properly acquainted… a fight breaks out. That’s right, a load of goons suddenly turn up and the four heroes have to fight their way out.

“Every one of them is following their own trail of bread crumbs, trying to unpack a mystery in New York,” explains showrunner Marco Ramirez. “We wanted them all caught off guard. Once they’re in that room together, it’s kind of like, ‘Oh, s—, who are you?’”

If you ask me, it’s an excellent start for a superhero team that’s already established itself as being a little off-kilter. It’s chaotic, it’s crazy and they’re thrown right into the thick of it. It might just be the perfect way to throw them all together.

And don’t they look great?

‘The Defenders’ heads to Netflix sometime soon.
