Pose star Billy Porter has offered up a first look at his character Fab G from Cinderella, Amazon Studios' upcoming take on the classic.

On Sunday, May 15, the actor took to social media to post a still from the fairytale flick that sees him sporting a sparkling, ochre-coloured dress and opulent necklace.

Frozen's Idina Menzel rounds out the cast as Cinderella's evil stepmother, Vivian.

Based on the original story by Charles Perrault, and directed by Pitch Perfect's Kay Cannon, Cinderella centres on a neglected and hardworking young woman who falls in love with a prince after disguising herself and attending a grand ball.

This adaptation will take a significantly different approach from the 2015 Disney live-action one by the same title starring Lilly James, and will revert back to the musical genre.

Camilla Cabello previously announced she was working on the music for the film, with Idina Menzel also confirming she will have an original song. For its soundtrack, the film already licensed Beyoncé's "Single Ladies", Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" and Chic's "Good Times".

Cinderella is set for release later this year on Amazon Prime Video.
