First official look photo shows Richard E Grant as a drag queen in Everybody's Talking About Jamie movie

We obviously can't wait to see Richard E Grant as a drag queen in the movie adaptation of hit West End musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

And to get us even more excited, we've been given our first official look at the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star in drag as Hugo/Loco Chanel.

In the picture, Grant is seen with star Max Harwood — who plays the titular character — complete with wig, dress and all. His character acts as a mentor to Jamie.

It comes nearly a year after we got our first glimpse of Grant in action from on-set pictures, showing him celebrating with real drag queens including Anna Phylactic.

The film follows Jamie Campbell, who lives in a council estate in Sheffield and overcomes prejudice to become a drag queen.

Catastrophe star Sharon Horgan is taking on the role of teacher Miss Hedge, while Happy Valley's Sarah Lancashire will play Jamie's mother Margaret.

The movie is set to be released later this year, 20th Century Fox announcing last year: "Just Announced: Everybody's Talking About Jamie, an all-new film based on the hit stage production, is coming to theatres October 23, 2020!"

Meanwhile, Grant recently landed a role in Disney+'s upcoming Loki series, and while his character is being kept under wraps, he will reportedly only appear in one episode.

Alongside Tom Hiddleston, the show will also star Black Mirror's Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson and Flowers' Sophia Di Martino.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is due to hit screens on October 23, 2020.
