When Disney CEO Bob Isner confirmed plans for standalone 'Star Wars' films based on existing characters, attention soon turned to potential candidates.

Less than a day later and the first reports have surfaced regarding who will be getting their own big screen adventures, with Entertainment Weekly claiming it'll be Han Solo and Boba Fett.

Citing several sources, EW claim the films will follow a young Han Solo in an origin tale and Boba Fett at the height of his bounty hunting career.

The sources, who are said to be close to the projects, were clear to add that it is still very early in the process and plans may change.

Yesterday Isner confirmed that 'Empire Strikes Back' scribe Lawrence Kasdan and 'Sherlock Holmes' writer Simon Kinberg were working on the projects.

The pair are also acting as consultants on J.J. Abrams' 'Episode 7'.

Whoever they are about, the spin-off films are to hit cinemas between Episodes 7, 8 and 9, which will be spread across six years from 2015.
