The first teaser for the upcoming Cinderella adaptation starring Camila Cabello and Pose's Billy Porter has been released – and it looks absolutely magical.

Cabello stars in the Amazon Prime Video original as Ella, the girl who will go to the ball, thanks to the assistance of her Fab G (Fairy Godmother), played by Porter.

The film, which is released via the streaming service on September 3, will be a musical and the trailer shows Cabello singing about how everyone is soon going to know her name.

But there's also going to be plenty of laughs, as the clip – which you can check out for yourself above – ends with Porter asking Cabello if she wants to go to the ball. She replies: "Yes, I was just crying and singing about it like two minutes ago." Fair point.

The musical will incorporate covers of classic pop songs from contemporary global artists, as well as original songs by Cabello and Frozen's Idina Menzel, who stars in the movie as Cinderella's evil stepmother Vivian.

Alongside Cabello and Porter, Chambers star Nicholas Galitzine will play Ella's Prince Charming.

Cinderella also stars Pierce Brosnan as King Rowan and Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice, while James Corden, John Mulaney and Romesh Ranganathan play the three mice who are transformed into footmen.

Last year, Porter spoke about his "genderless" and "non-conforming" take on the Fairy Godmother, saying during an appearance on Variety Live: "We have all these sort of genders that we've put on things and it doesn't actually matter.

"It's not about sex. It's not about sexuality. It's not about gender. It's about magic. It's about being somebody's fairy godmother, father, person, whatever you want to call it."

Cinderella will be released on Amazon Prime Video in September.
