Alexandra Burke's debut film, Pretty Red Dress, has unveiled its first trailer.

Set against the backdrop of South London with a soundtrack of iconic Tina Turner hits, Pretty Red Dress follows Travis (Natey Jones) as he struggles to adjust to life after being released from prison.

"He's doing well, providing for his family," his brother says at his welcome home party. "We can't become ourselves until we find ourselves, and I really believe that my little brother Travis is finding himself right now."

From there, we watch as Travis truly begins to find himself as puts on the red dress he bought Candice, but his family is sent spinning by this unexpected discovery.

Alexandra first rose to fame back in 2008 after winning The X Factor, and has since performed on the West End in The Bodyguard and Chicago.

The 'Bad Boys' singer and her partner Darren Randolph welcomed their first child last year and are currently expecting their second.

Shortly before the birth of her first child, Alexandra opened up about her struggles with pregnancy, writing on Instagram: "The first three or four months of pregnancy I really struggled accepting all the changes to my body because it was totally out of my control.

"I'll be honest and admit I've been through quite a few ups and down privately, BUT I now find myself in a totally different head space and I finally feel good about my body."

Pretty Red Dress arrives in cinemas on June 16.
