David Attenborough warns that 'humans have overrun the world' in new Netflix doc 'A Life On Our Planet'

New feature documentary David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet will premiere on Netflix this spring, and now we've got our first glimpse of the ambitious project.

The 93-year-old filmmaker has teamed with the World Wildlife Fund to make the film, which finds him reflecting on his own life, but also the devastating changes he's seen in decades of studying the natural world.

“Human beings have overrun the world,” Attenborough warns. “We’re replacing the wild with the tame.”

“This film is my witness statement, and my vision of the future,” he adds.

“Our planet is headed for disaster. We need to learn how to work with nature rather than against it. And I'm going to tell you how.”

Featuring some stunning photography, the film was shot around the globe, and is being described as his 'most personal project to date'.

Per the movie's official synopsis: “In his 93 years, David Attenborough has visited every continent on the globe, exploring the wild places of our planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder. Now, for the first time he reflects upon both the defining moments of his lifetime as a naturalist and the devastating changes he has seen.”

It premieres at cinemas on 16 April, and will stream on Netflix later in the spring.
