Yahoo Movies First trailer for Heartstopper and Bridgerton stars' new rom-com
Rom-com How to Date Billy Walsh has released an extended trailer starring Bridgerton's Charithra Chandran and Heartstopper's Sebastian Croft as best friends Amelia and Archie.
The teen movie follows the BFF duo being rocked by the arrival of American transfer student Billy Walsh (Cobra Kai's Tanner Buchanan).
While Archie has been secretly in love with Amelia for years, she is determined to bag a date with Billy and gets in all sort of shenanigans to set her plan in motion.

In the trailer, a heartbroken Archie goes to great lengths to try and keep Amelia and Billy away from each other but only ends up pushing them closer together, risking losing his best friend in the process.
Meanwhile, Amelia has to deal with her school's popular mean girl who thinks Billy is "out of [Amelia's] league", while Billy is blissfully unaware of everything that's been going on, charmingly declaring that the Brits are "so dramatic".
The cast for the film is rounded out by The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar, Nick Frost, Guz Khan, and Lucy Punch.

Filmed in 2022, How to Date Billy Walsh was directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai, who was behind the camera for episodes of Bridgerton, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Walker, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, and Merlin. Alexander J Farrell and Greer Ellison penned the script.
Chandran, who rose to fame playing Edwina Sharma in season 2 of Regency hit Bridgerton, will also be seen in upcoming TV drama Arzu.
Based on Riva Razdan's 2021 novel of the same name, the series tells the story of a young heiress, played by Chandran, escaping scandal in Mumbai and starting fresh in New York City's high society.
How to Date Billy Walsh drops on Prime Video on April 5.
