Upgraded isn’t the only Amazon Prime project the actress is involved in this year, as she also stars in upcoming romantic comedy Música.

The film, a new spin on the genre, follows a New Jersey man who is "plagued by the music in his head", and trying to balance love, family and his Brazilian culture.

Música, scheduled to arrive on Prime Video on April 4, stars Rudy Manusco, who also writes and directs the film – alongside Mendes, J.B. Smoove and Francesca Reale.

Upgraded premieres on Prime Video worldwide on February 9.
