Shadowhunters favourite Kate McNamara and The Umbrella Academy's Emmy Raver-Lampman are scared out of their wits in the first trailer for Untitled Horror Movie.

Scheduled to premiere via a special livestream event on June 12, it centres on six actors who decide to shoot a homemade horror film after their TV show gets pulled off air.

Unintentionally, they summon "a spirit with an affinity for violence".

The new footage prepares fans for a jumpy ride with plenty of Zoom scares – just when you thought it was safe to log back online.

Untitled Horror Movie director Nick Simon previously opened up about making the movie remotely, with each actor sent "cameras and lights and microphones".

Luke Baines, who co-wrote the film with Simon and plays Declan, told Vanity Fair: "We had to test everything, make sure everything worked, and then essentially make up little boxes that were delivered to everybody contact-free, because at that stage, we were very much in a lockdown and we didn't obviously want to get anybody sick."

Untitled Horror Movie will be available to download on iTunes and Amazon from June 15.
