Harrison Ford has gone on record to share his pleasure at being a part of J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars sequel for the first time since early May’s cast announcement.

Speaking at the press conference for ‘The Expendables 3’ in Cannes, the actor said: “I’m delighted to be involved.

“We have a great cast and a great script, and the director, J.J. Abrams, is at the top of his game.”

In true Harrison Ford style, he refused to give any more away. But he said he expected to enjoy himself when the shoot started up later in the year.

“The dirty little secret is that making movies is great fun. It’s just a great job,” he laughed.

But while the actor might be happy to discuss the film now, Ford wasn’t too pleased when we asked him about Star Wars last year…

Production on "Star Wars: Episode VII' began in Abu Dhabi and London this week. The film is due for release in December 2015.
