Foxx 'crossing fingers' for Spidey

Jamie Foxx has admitted he's got his "fingers crossed" that he lands a part in the next Spider-Man movie. The Oscar-winning Ray star was rumoured to be in talks for the role of villain Electro in the follow-up to this year's The Amazing Spider-Man, and he has now confirmed his casting is "in the works". He told Access Hollywood: "I have a little daughter, four years old, and what's crazy is like, this past year she had a birthday where Spider-Man was the theme. Fingers crossed [that] it all works out." The star added that he won't tell his little girl until his part is official. "I haven't sprung it on her yet, but she will go crazy!" he said. Reports about Jamie's possible involvement with the film started appearing last month, and the star added weight to the rumours by dressing as the baddie for a Halloween event. He tweeted: "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well." Andrew Garfield has confirmed he will reprise his role as Peter Parker and his webbed superhero alter-ego, with Emma Stone expected to return as Gwen Stacy. It has been reported that Shailene Woodley is in talks to play new love interest Mary Jane Watson in the movie.
