Frankie Bridge says ‘Loose Women’ is "like therapy”.

The former pop star - who performed with both S Club Juniors and The Saturdays - loves her daytime gig as a panellist on the ITV1 show, but admitted to feeling “like a newbie” compared to some of her co-stars, who include TV veterans Gloria Hunniford and Ruth Langsford.

The 34-year-old star told OK! magazine: "I think I was lucky that [working on the show] started in lockdown. So even though it was only via Zoom originally, it was a really nice way to kind of break away from being in lockdown. I felt like I was getting into talk to and see other people.

"I'm used to it now though, even though I still kind of always feel like the newbie, because some of the women have been on there for like 20 years.

"But I'm starting to feel like more and more comfortable, and I'm so comfortable with all of the women.

"I love that we get on we have a little debate. We'll laugh about stuff. We'll talk about sad things. It's kind like a night out when you go out with your mates anyway, like therapy."

Frankie - who has sons Parker, nine, and Carter, seven, with her ex pro footballer husband Wayne Bridge, 42 - also shared how she was “so nervous” to interview some of the brightest stars around at the recent BAFTA Awards, in her role as EE's red carpet host.

But she “loved it” and got a “huge adrenaline rush” from the project.
