Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox's private plane forced to make emergency landing after losing tyre

A plane carrying Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox has made an emergency landing.

The actors were travelling to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico when the private jet lost a tyre during take off.

It was diverted to Ontario International Airport where fellow passengers and crew were reportedly concerned about the landing.

Aniston and Cox were heading to Mexican resort in celebration of the former’s 50th birthday. Also on board the Gulfstream Aerospace IV plane were screenwriter Molly Kimmel and actor Amanda Anke.

Reports state that the passengers were forced to remain on the plane for two hours after the emergency landing announced so the jet could burn off enough fuel in order to land safely in California.

Aniston, Cox, Kimmel and Anke eventually landed safely and boarded a bigger plane that took them to their destination.

Aniston turned 50 on 11 February and celebrated with a big party in New York that was attended by Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry and her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

All 10 seasons of Friends are available to stream on Netflix, with the streaming service reportedly paying up to $100m to retain the rights for at least another year.
