Parents with young kids, we have some terrible news: Disney has announced there will be a ‘Frozen 2’!
The news was delivered on the same annual Disney shareholder call that saw the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off announced.
Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who directed the first ‘Frozen’, will return to develop the sequel, though we don’t know if they’ll direct as well.
One thing we do know is that Josh Gad will return as the voice of sun-loving snowman Olaf.
That’s basically all the details we have. No release date, casting, title or story news as yet.
Just last week Lee and Buck, while promoting ‘Frozen’ short film ‘Frozen Fever’, said the sequel was NOT happening.
But the news isn’t really a surprise considering that the film is the most commercially successful animated film of all time and a merchandise money-making machine.
More news on ‘Frozen 2’ when we get it.
