Full Ghostbusters Trailer Lands Online

The first full trailer for the new ‘Ghostbusters’ has finally arrived. Director Paul Feig, the filmmaker responsible for ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Spy’, debuted the first look trailer on the Ellen Show.

The new movie sees Erin (Kristen Wiig), a Columbia University academic, her ghost-chasing friend Abby (Melissa McCarthy), the friend’s business partner and mad scientist Jillian (Kate McKinnon), and Patty a MTA employee (Leslie Jones) joining forces as an all-female team to bust ghosts and save New York.

The trailer reveals Slimer, the slobbering ghost from the original 1984 film, is set to make a return alongside a host of new ghouls terrorising the Big Apple.

The opening sequence of the trailer sees Jillian, Abby, and Erin confronting a seemingly benign ghost in a scene that evokes memories of the original film’s New York Library sequence.

We also get to see Chris Hemsworth in action as the team’s office manager with the trailer suggesting his character gets possessed by an evil spirit.

‘Ghostbusters’ is due to be released in the UK on 15th July 2016.
