Writer's block is the bane of any writer's existence whether they're a journalist struggling to think how they're going to write eight paragraphs on a story (oooh, meta) or they're 'Star Wars 7' scribe Michael Arndt.
Chances are Arndt has suffered some kind of writer's block, but probably not as bad as in this short skit for comedy site Funny or Die, starring Andrew Bowler as Hollywood's most pressured writer.

The video blog, here claimed to be a Blu Ray extra for the upcoming film, starts confidently enough: "'Star Wars: Episode VII'.... A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...."
Then it gets a bit tricky.
A couple of the gems that follow include, "Sir, we've identified the nerf herder... he has a herd of nerfs" and "Yoda's alive!... How?... Explain later I will."

"Arndt" then has a go at playing with our nostalgia for the originals in the way every 'Star Wars' fan would dread to see in the finished product.
"There ARE the droids you're looking for. Haha, you flip it, and then it's... terrible."
After consulting the 'Toy Story 3' script, for which Arndt was Oscar-nominated in 2011 - "This is good, I know what I'm doing." - he then wonders how he'll admit to J.J. Abrams that he has nothing and wants to quit.
