‘Back To The Future: Part II′ has a lot to answer for.

Robert Zemeckis’ sci-fi sequel promised 2015 would bring us flying cars, self-lacing sneakers, and hoverboards but the reality of life in 2015 is actually a lot more mundane than Marty McFly could ever have imagined.

This hilarious new video from CollegeHumor reveals the depressing reality of what ‘Back To The Future: Part II’ would be like had Doc Brown’s time-travelling DeLorean come to the real 2015 of today. Watch it in full below.

In the 2015 of CollegeHumor’s take on ‘Back To The Future: Part II’ flying cars are “a real ordeal” after, as Doc Brown puts it, “terrorists have made flying a nightmare of fear and security theatre.”

“What a dark geopolitical era this is,” Marty sighs.

Self-lacing sneakers are nowhere to be seen so Doc gives Marty a pair of Crocs to fit in, swegways are the closest we’ve got to hoverboards, and Griff Tannen is no longer a physical bully, he’s just an online troll.

“Great Scott! How we’ve fallen!” concludes Doc Brown.
