Gal Gadot and Jason Statham violently ruin their dates in early Super Bowl ad

Despite the fact that Super Bowl 51 is still well over two weeks away, and we don’t know even know who the AFC or NFC champions are, Wix.com have decided to jump ahead to the main event by releasing their half-time advertisement really, really early.

They have two very good reasons for doing so, too. That’s because it stars both Gal Gadot (‘Wonder Woman’) and Jason Statham (‘Furious 7’), and it has immediately raised the bar for the other 2017 Super Bowl half-time ads. You can watch it at the top of the page.

But there’s much, much more to come from Wix.com. CMO Omer Shai told Ad Age that there will be an “ongoing narrative” that will unfold over eight to 10 short films, as well as a 30-second TV spot that will air in the fourth quarter of the big game, before teasing “fans around the world will surely recognise some famous faces” in each of them.

Wix aren’t just looking to impress in front of the camera, though, as they’ve hired Louis Leterrier (‘Transporter’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘Clash Of The Titans’) to direct each instalment, which are set to debut on Facebook Live and YouTube Live in the build-up up to the game.

You’ll get to see the culmination of Wix’s Super Bowl campaign on February 5, where it will be bookended by a sporting event of some kind.
