We've known for a while now that a new Ghostbusters movie set in the same universe as the first two is in the works – making it, essentially, Ghostbusters 3.
Written by Jason Reitman, the son of the man behind the originals, it looks set to be quite the nostalgia trip as original star Sigourney Weaver previously shared she would be appearing, and teased the return of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and more too.
It was just a rumour at the time, but now original cast member Dan Aykroyd has confirmed his involvement.
Speaking on the Joe Regan Experience YouTube series, the star said: "Ivan Reitman's son Jason has written a new movie, called — well, it's gonna be Ghostbusters, the third movie.
"We've got the Ghostbusters movie that we're working on now, and I will have to be performing in that. It's really good. It'll be all, most of the original people. And then young stars... It's gonna be great.
"I'm so excited about it, and it's just wonderful to be able to [go] back and revisit that. I don't do the pictures anymore much, and I'm in that one."
Aykroyd also said that he was "hoping" Bill Murray would also sign up. Reitman previously confirmed that the Groundhog Day star has indeed read the script.
Speaking of the younger stars Aykroyd mentioned before, it has been confirmed that Captain Marvel star Mckenna Grace will be the lead in the movie, with Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard playing her brother.
Rounding out the main cast will be another two young stars – a boy and a girl – as the film is based around a single mother and four teenagers.
Ghostbusters 2020 (or whatever it will be called) is due for release on July 10, 2020.
