Yahoo Movies Gigi Hadid talks motherhood as she returns to work after welcoming daughter
After blessing us with multiple Instagram posts of her glowing new-mum life, Gigi Hadid has announced her return to the modelling world. She gave birth to her daughter, who she shares with One Direction's Zayn Malik, in September this year. Having taken two months off to care for her newborn, Gigi announced on her Instagram Stories that she's "BACK IN THE OFFICE".
She posted the gorgeous selfie with the caption, "Would say back 2 work BUT being a mama is a job like no otherrrr." The last time we saw Gigi on the runway it was for luxury brands including Chanel and Prada during fashion month earlier this year. In an interview with Maybelline makeup artist Erin Parsons, Gigi opened up about walking the runway while pregnant: "People think I do fillers on my face and that’s why my face is round - I’ve had this since I was born. Especially fashion month, when I was already, like, a few months preggo, you know..."
While Gigi and Zayn haven chosen not to publicly share their daughter's name, the model has been happily sharing lots of photos of her. Gigi first posted an adorable picture of her daughter holding onto her mum's thumb with the caption: "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love."
Then, in November, she shared a family picture that featured Zayn and their new daughter on her Instagram stories. Too. Damn. Cute.
She also uploaded this adorable selfie of her and her little tot, writing, "She burps sunshine 😉 😊."
Now, I don't know about you but these baby updates are what's motivating me through December. Keep em coming Gigi.
