Wear glasses and want to know how to stop your specs steaming up while wearing a face mask? Well Good Morning Britain's Dr Hilary Jones has an easy trick for you.

The TV doctor gave an excellent tip for the many people who wear glasses on Friday's show.

With new rules coming in next Friday (24th) for everyone in England to wear face coverings in shops and supermarkets, Dr Hilary's advice has come at the right time.

As hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray shared a photo of Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove with steamed-up glasses during a trip to a shop, Charlotte asked Dr Hilary: "Is there a way to wear your mask to avoid that happening?"

He responded: "Definitely. So you wear your glasses outside above the mask so you don't get the steam from your breath steaming up the inside of your glasses.

"And you previously dip your glasses in soapy water and allow them to dry naturally, that gives a sort of anti-fog affect, which is temporary, but it's worth having anyway."

So, there you have it – a quick and easy trick to stop your glasses from steaming up. And if this doesn't work for you, Specsavers has a few tips of its own.

They include making sure your mask fits snugly, securing it around your nose and breathing downwards into your mask. You could also switch to wearing contact lenses.
