The Grand Tour's Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he once scoffed at a producer's suggestion that he get a haircut.

The presenter, who is not one to be modest about things, was asked whether he ever gets 'tweakments' – such as Botox – like some other presenters.

"Er, no, of course I haven't had Botox," Clarkson told The Sun. "And no, no-one has ever suggested I get my teeth whitened, or have filler.

"The worst I've ever had was a producer telling me ahead of this new series to get a haircut. I said, 'You do know what's happening in Syria, don't you?'

"But I did get it cut, not that you'd notice the difference."

Meanwhile, Clarkson has also been opening up about his salary when he was employed by the BBC on Top Gear, which was reported to be worth millions.

Defending the money he earned, the presenter recently said: "So when you look at all those BBC salaries that are published, you think, 'You get that for an hour's work'.

"No, you don't. You get that for your entire life being taken over by, 'Selfie! Selfie! Photo! Photo! Photo!' Somebody has to pay for that."

Well, we imagine spending a little of it on a haircut shouldn't be too much trouble.

The Grand Tour airs on Amazon Prime Video.
