Greta Gerwig joins husband Noah Baumbach's new Netflix movie

Greta Gerwig will collaborate with husband Noah Baumbach once again as she has joined the cast for his untitled Netflix film.

The pair, who wed in December, have worked together on several occasions, with Gerwig starring in Baumbach's Greenberg, Frances Ha, Mistress America, The Meyerowitz Stories and White Noise.

As per Deadline, the duo will collaborate once more for Baumbach's currently untitled project for Netflix, with Gerwig joining a stacked cast which includes George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup and Riley Keough.

In addition to the main stars, the cast will also include Jim Broadbent, Jamie Demetriou, Isla Fisher, Eve Hewson, Emily Mortimer, Louis Partridge and Patrick Wilson, with Mortimer also-co-writing the script alongside Baumbach.

Plot details for the project are currently scarce, though the film is said to be a "funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults."

Gerwig and Baumbach most recently collaborated on the script for Barbie, which became the highest grossing film of 2023 as it raked in over $1.4 billion at the box office. The film also received critical acclaim, securing eight nominations at the 96th Academy Awards.

The ceremony saw the cast reunite as Ryan Gosling delivered a special performance of the now iconic song 'I'm Just Ken', with the star being joined by fellow Kens Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa and Scott Evans.

It wasn't enough to sway the voters, however, as the Best Original Song award went to Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For', which was the only win of the night for Barbie. The triumph also set a new record, with Eilish becoming the youngest two-time Oscar winner of all time.
