Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser poster shared by director James Gunn

The first teaser poster for Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ has been revealed by the film’s director James Gunn on his official Facebook page.

Check it out below.

From left to right the poster shows Nebula (Karen Gillan), Yondu (Michael Rooker), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), tiny Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), Star Lord (Chris Pratt), and Drax (Dave Bautista), accompanied by the tagline “Obviously”.

The moody monochrome one-sheet is a marked departure from the hypercoloured marketing of the first film, in fact – we could be wrong – but we think it’s the first black and white poster Marvel has ever released for any of its MCU films. Are we wrong? Lambast us in the comments below.

The first poster comes ahead of the release of the film’s first trailer which will likely play in front of ‘Doctor Strange’ when it hits cinemas on Tuesday, 25 October.

Until the new trailer hits, let’s just take a moment to appreciate tiny Groot. Bless him.
