Hamilton star Daveed Diggs has revealed why he's "terrified" of the popular Broadway show landing on Disney+.
While promoting upcoming TV series Snowpiercer, the actor touched on Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop history hit skipping cinemas and heading straight for the streaming platform this summer – and it's something he's pretty nervous about on a personal level.
Diggs – who won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the production – recently explained to Entertainment Weekly: "It seems like it's going to make a lot of people very happy.
"I'm terrified. I've never seen myself do that and it's still the thing that most people talk to me about that I have done. One of the only reasons I can stand that kind of attention is that I haven't seen it.
"At some point, I'm going to be forced to watch it and actually deal with my own feelings about this.
"That is complicated for me, for the kind of artist I am, which is I don't really like to watch myself doing things. The sort of saving grace of a play is that I never have to watch myself doing it."
Fortunately, his former co-star Leslie Odom Jr seems to be more excited at the prospect of Disney+ subscribers checking out the live recording very soon, having told Digital Spy that he's all for bringing people "a little more sunshine and a little more joy faster".
Snowpiercer will debut on Netflix on May 25.
