Harper's Bazaar has collaborated with luxury label Olympia Le-Tan on a series of limited-edition clutch bags inspired by its rich history.

The heritage publication - which is now 154 years old - opened up its archive to the Olympia Le-Tan design team, allowing them to explore a vast selection of vintage magazine covers. The two brands worked closely together to create a collection of seven clutch bags, each featuring a different cover design from the 1930s.

Since its launch in 2009, Olympia Le-Tan has become a firm fashion industry favourite, beloved by many for its unique way of reimagining classic book covers and artworks into wearable artisanal clutch bags and accessories. The label has built a loyal list of A-list fans, including Reese Witherspoon, Lily James, Michelle Williams, Kim Kardashian and Natalie Portman.

The Harper's Bazaar collection features seven different designs - either with or without a strap - which will be released over the course of two seasons, dropping gradually on Net-a-Porter, Matches Fashion and Moda Operandi. They are also available to pre-order on the Olympia Le-Tan website. Each design is limited to just 77 units each and every piece is individually numbered on the back.

"This collaboration with Harper's Bazaar is a way for us to celebrate the legendary fashion magazine with our signature Olympia Le-Tan book clutches," says Aude Sergent, general manager of Olympia Le-Tan. "We bring together culture and luxury, recreating these iconic magazine covers with intricate embroidery done by hand. Our selection of covers from the '30s reflects our adoration for vintage, an important part of our brand's DNA. Our aim is to guide you through these incredible covers and offer you the opportunity to keep, celebrate, and wear a unique piece.

Every bag features a hand-embroidered cover in silk thread and felt appliqué, and opens to reveal a beautiful Liberty-print lining. Each lining is unique, meaning that no one clutch is the same. Prices range from £850 to £1,300.
