Harrison Ford is 'not really' looking forward to the Han Solo movie

Professional grouch Harrison Ford has said that he’s ‘not really’ looking forward to the forthcoming Han Solo spin-off movie.

Speaking alongside George Lucas at the Star Wars Celebration in Florida – that’s the key word there, Harrison, ‘celebration’ – he was asked his thoughts about the upcoming origin tale.

So is he really pumped for it?

“Not really,” he replied. “Of course I’ll be watching it as a fan, but it will be a little weird.”

Perhaps sensing that he was about to bum out an entire auditorium of palpably eager Star Wars fans with his non-plussed response, he then changed tack a little.

“But you know, I’ve met the fella who’s gonna play the younger Han Solo. Wonderful guy, very sweet, and a very good actor. So I’m delighted in the choice.”

He’s speaking, of course, of Alden Ehrenreich, who will be taking on the role of the wise-cracking space smuggler, alongside a pretty exciting cast under ‘Lego Movie’ and ’21 Jump Street’ directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.

Also on the bill are Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Han’s mentor Beckett, and Emilia Clarke, Michael K. Williams and Thandie Newton in so-far unspecified roles.

Currently shooting at Pinewood, it’ll be the next movie out in the reinvigorated ‘Star Wars’ series, after ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, and is due in cinemas from May 25, 2018.
