Harrison Ford Says His Clothes From Original 1982 Film Still Fit In ‘Blade Runner 2049’ – CinemaCon

Sony brought extended footage, and Warner Bros. came to CinemaCon with a mesmerizing behind the scenes featurette of Blade Runner 2049 with more shock and awe visuals, complete with the cast and behind-the-scenes team talking about the sequel to Ridley Scott’s R-rated 1982 sci-fi noir.

In the featurette, which Warner Bros. isn’t dropping yet, Harrison Ford says, “It’s fun to play a character 30 years later and trying on old clothes and luckily they still fit.”

Thirteen-Oscar nominee DP Roger Deakins exclaimed in the reel, “I never worked with so many different sets and light patterns.”

“When I directed Blade Runner 35 years ago, I could not imagine how iconic it could be,” added producer Scott in the footage.

Showing up at CinemaCon in Las Vegas was director Denis Villeneuve, actor Jared Leto and actress Ana de Armas.

Jared Leto told attendees, “Blade Runner is a very special movie. There are very few films in my life that have struck me as deep as the original Blade Runner… this is an incredible group of people. I consider it to be one of the great honors of my life to be part of this movie and stand with these people.”

“I was truly honored to take the baton from Ridley,” said Villeneuve, “To see Harrison back in his character of Rick Deckard was mind-blowing.” He praised Deakins who he said “is in every frame of the film. It was the most intense and exciting cinematic experience of my life.”

Blade Runner 2049 opens on Oct. 6 via Warner Bros. stateside while Sony is handling the Alcon title abroad.
