Harry Potter star Emma Watson has reportedly gone “dormant” from her acting career.

The 30-year-old, who shot to fame aged nine playing Hermione Granger in the wizard franchise alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, has apparently “given up acting.”

The Daily Mail today reports Watson’s agent said she was now “dormant” from acting - which allegedly means she is stepping back from the limelight.

Her publicist reportedly said she was “not taking on new commitments.”

Her team have been approached for comment.

It was suggested that Watson - the star of Little Women and Beauty and the Beast, has stepped back in order to spend time with partner Leo Robinton, a businessman from California, who she’s been dating for 18 months.

A source told the Mail: “Emma has gone underground, she is settling down with Leo. They’re laying low. Maybe she wants a family.”

The Mail reports the couple have been spending time in Ibiza out of the limelight enjoying mornings at a vegan cafe reading newspapers.

She is now in LA where the couple were last photographed together earlier this month.

Today, fans reacted to the news.

“Emma Watson has given us some of the most iconic roles,” wrote one Twitter user. “I’m wishing her all the best for the future. she deserves this.”

“ Emma Watson retiring is so bittersweet,” wrote another fan.
