Has Captain America: Civil War Lego Set Just Dropped A MASSIVE Spoiler

Not for the first time, then, a tie-in toy might have just dropped a huge spoiler from ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

And as you might expect, there are potential spoilers ahead…

'Huge’ is the operative word here too, because it concerns a certain crossover Marvel character making an appearance in the movie.

While Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man appearing in the superhero bonanza (Spider-Man is also pitching up for the first time too) might not be a huge shock, the form he takes might well be.

In the comics, Rudd’s character Hank Pym undergoes a rather polar transformation than that seen in the first movie, turning from Ant-Man into Giant-Man.

And a new German catalogue detailing the new Marvel Comics Lego sets might have just blown the gaff.

In it, you can spot a notably pretty sizeable Ant-Man (or likely Giant-Man, seen below, bottom centre) towering over the other characters in his distinctive red and black outfit and face mask.

So while it’s not a plot point as such, the cat may well be out of Marvel’s bag on this one.

Giant-Man – nor Ant-Man for that matter – didn’t appear in the recently-released first trailer for 'Civil War’ (you can check it out below), so perhaps we can now look forward to a glimpse of him in the second one.

As noted by Comicbook.com, which unearthed the Lego spoiler, it could be that the effects are not ready to show the world yet.

Marvel may have also wanted to keep the transformation as a surprise, but the fact that it appears in a catalogue would not have gone unnoticed perhaps.

The movie finds Captain America on the wrong side of a government edict demanding regulation of the superhero fraternity, and pits hero and against hero as they take sides.

It’s due out on April 29, 2016.
