Henry Cavill breaks silence over Deadpool & Wolverine cameo

Man of Steel star Henry Cavill has broken his silence over that Deadpool & Wolverine cameo.
Marking his MCU debut, the former DC Extended Universe star surprised fans when he appeared in the latest Deadpool movie as a version of Wolverine.
Playfully referred to by Deadpool as 'The Cavillerine', Cavill makes his appearance after Wade Wilson goes in search of a new Anchor Being Wolverine.

After searching the Multiverse for a new Logan, the Merc With a Mouth finds Cavill, telling him that Marvel Studios will treat him better than "those shitf**ks down the street".
Taking to Instagram to address his cameo for the first time, Cavill shared an image of himself in character as The Cavillerine.
"To be safe, I shaved the moustache off for this one. Just the moustache. @SLevyDirect @VanCityReynolds @TheHughJackman #DeadpoolAndWolverine," he captioned the post.
Fans were quick to share their delight at Cavill's involvement in the movie, with one fan commenting on the post: "The most epic arm reload in cinematic history, everyone cheered when you appeared on screen."

"Loved seeing you pop up. The theater went nuts," shared another.
"Henry, you will make a great Wolverine if Hugh Jackman steps down. You Reloaded those claws," penned one fan.
Another commented: "You haven’t met a role you cannot tackle. Long live Cavillerine!"
Back in 2022, Cavill announced that he would not be continuing as the World of DC's Superman, despite returning to the role for a cameo in Black Adam.
"The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that," Cavill wrote on Instagram at the time. "James and Peter have a universe to build. I wish them, and all involved with the new universe, the best of luck, and the happiest of fortunes."
Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in cinemas.
