So, you’re just up a hill, and you bump into Mel Gibson.

And while this sort of thing happens all the time, nonetheless a snap of pals Heather Fogarty, Michael O’Connor and Shane Gallagher with the Hollywood star is going viral.

The three were hiking up the Great Sugar Loaf, in County Wicklow, when Mel pitched up.

“Climbed the Sugar Loaf today!” captioned Heather.

“It was great fun bit of yoga thrown in and to top it all off we met Mel Gibson at the summit! #SolidSunday.”

Gibson is in Ireland filming his new movie ‘The Professor and the Madman’ with Sean Penn, in and around Dublin.

He’s also been snapped at the FX Buckley Steakhouse in the city too, posing for a picture with Albert, the restaurant’s sommelier.

Apparently, he had the kidneys and a fillet steak, medium rare.

The movie is about the compilation of the first Oxford English dictionary in the mid-19th century, and how its creator, Sir James Murray, received over 10,000 entries from a doctor imprisoned at Broadmoor.

Director Farhad Safinia, who wrote Gibson’s ‘Apocalypto’, is behind the camera, and it also stars Natalie Dormer and Jeremy Irvine.

Its based on the book of the same name, written by Simon Winchester.
