Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield announce This Morning break
This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have confirmed their break from the ITV show as they prepare for their summer holiday.
Following a competition item on Thursday's show (9 July), the hosts chatted about how time has flown past so quickly before announcing that it's their last day ahead of their summer break.
Holly confirmed: "Oh, it's just Friday, 10 July [is tomorrow], like doesn't it sometimes freak you out that we're in July? This year has just been like, it's the 10 July guys!"
Phillip added: "I don't know what day it is; I don't know what month it is; we're just sort of plodding along. And is that because it's the last day?"
Holly then cheerfully declared: "And it's our last day!"
The TV presenters usually take a break from the series to enjoy a holiday with their families at the end of the summer term. Holly and Phil – who are close friends – often spend a week or two of their break holidaying together.

Last year, the pair spent a week together with their families in Portugal's Algarve. They posted photos of themselves enjoying the sunshine together on Instagram, although it's not known whether they will be travelling abroad this year in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Friday presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will be stepping in as hosts while they are away.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
