Holly Willoughby wowed Dancing on Ice fans on Sunday night (17 January) in a beige gown embellished with sequins and feathers, which she said made her "feel like a princess".

The 39-year-old This Morning presenter launched the ITV ice skating competition with co-host Phillip Schofield, and shared a photo of herself in her dazzling outfit backstage on Instagram.

Posing in the floor-length gown, Holly added the caption: "Well it's back... @dancingonice on @itv at 6pm... It’s incredible that the brilliant team, crew and celebs have made this happened... It’s not been easy and I feel so proud. Gosh it feels good to put a sequin on!

"Thanks to the girls @patsyoneillmakeup @danniiwhiteman @cilerpeksah_hairstylist for making me feel like a princess... Dress @danyatracheofficial
Jewels @berganzalondon Heels @renecaovilla."

Fans and fellow celebrities were loving Holly's look, with one commenting: "So beautiful!! So excited to have Dancing on Ice back on our screens, it's just what we need right now. You look incredible as ever."

Comedian and chat show host Alan Carr added: "Stunning."

Holly also shared a selfie of her makeup and hair which was styled in waves, adding the caption: "See you next Sunday."

The star recently revealed that she was looking forward to the show returning, as it's something she can watch with her whole family; husband Dan, and kids Belle, Harry and Chester.

"It's January – it's been rubbish, it's been horrible. We need a bit of escapism. Trying to find things to watch as a family, where we are all sitting around the telly is not that easy. Obviously, [there's] The Masked Singer - thank God for that. But it's really tricky to find those shows.

"So I think as a parent, I'm so grateful for this show coming back, because it is proper family viewing that everybody can just sit down and enjoy together."

Denise Van Outen, Rufus Hound, Rebekah Vardy and Jason Donovan are among the celebrities taking part in this series. Judges Jordan Banjo, John Barrowman, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean returned to the panel.

Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday 24 January at 6pm on ITV
