The Honkai Star Rail PS5 technical test briefly appeared during the big Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live coverage, at the end of the JRPG's fresh trailer reveal with news that "recruitment" is opening for players to get a chance of trying it out on PlayStation 5.

That recruitment process is now live through August 28, so if you head to the official website you can sign in to your HoYoverse account and then register your interest in taking part. As well as confirming your details, you'll also need to complete a short survey about your gaming preferences and which devices you use, but that should only take a couple of minutes. Once registered, you can use the 'Check Access' button in the top right of the screen at a time to be announced in the future, to see if you have been selected to participate and receive instructions of how to download the Honkai Star Rail PS5 technical test.

Honkai Star Rail PS5 technical test rewards

There are a number of rewards available for taking part in the Honkai Star Rail PS5 technical test, with the 4-Star Cavern Relic Musketeer of Wild Wheat 4-Pc Set listed as a login reward, and the following pre-registration rewards based on the number of players who sign up:

• 100,000 pre-registrations: 10,000 Credits

• 300,000 pre-registrations: 5 Adventure Logs

• 600,000 pre-registrations: 5 Condensed Aether

• 1,000,000 pre-registrations: 4-Star Light Cone The Seriousness of Breakfast (Erudition)

As there has already been well over 100,000 Trailblazers pre-registered within 30 minutes of the sign up going live, and considering the current popularity of Honkai Star Rail, it seems likely that the top target will be hit. Make sure you sign up before the August 28 deadline, so you don't miss out on any of the pre-registration rewards.
