Honor Blackman has insisted being a Bond girl isn't as glamorous as it may seem.
The Avengers star played Pussy Galore opposite Sean Connery in Goldfinger, but though she admitted she enjoyed it she dismissed it as "just work".
Honour said: "As a female, with Sean at that stage of life, it was extremely interesting and exciting. He was so sexy and fun and professional. It was great fun. I enjoyed it. But you know one gets on with it in a Bond film. It may turn out to be glamorous, but what goes on is just work."
And the 87-year-old actress confessed she never imagined how iconic Pussy Galore would become.
She said: "It is fantastic. I knew I'd always have trouble with the name, but no. How could one ever know? It's just the same as when one started The Avengers that one thought, 'Oh, it's six months' work, and that's that'. You don't think any further, and then the whole thing catches alight. We'd had Dr No and From Russia With Love, so it wasn't yet the legendary series which it is now. It's amazing that 50 years afterwards, we're still at it."
